  • 2015 – Winner of the prestigious 2015 Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award – Diamond Category. 
  • 2015 – Winner of the Best Employer Brand award 2015 hosted by the Employer Branding Institute
  • 2015 – Recipient of the Best Customer Service award in the UAE at the Banker Middle East Industry Awards 
  • 2013 – Awarded Dubai Quality Award Gold award by the Department of Economic Development Dubai

In its quest for excellence, UNB has adopted the Total Quality Management concepts and systems and business excellence framework and has extensive ISO certifications across the Bank.

UNB is certified to the Integrated Management System (IMS) comprising of ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment) and OHSAS 18001 (Health & Safety) standards. UNB has also implemented the guidance provided in ISO 31000 (Risk Management) as well as ISO 26000 (Social Responsibility) while UNB Group’s IT Services are certified to ISO 27001 (Information Security) standards. UNB’s customer complaint handling process follows the ISO 10002 guidelines.

UNB is also certified to ISO 22301 for Business Continuity Management while its IT Services are certified to ISO 20000 (IT Service Management) standards.

We’re also recognised in the international arena. Some highlights include:

  • 2016 - Awarded the European Quality Award by Europe Business Assembly at a ceremony held in Cannes France
  • 2016 - Won six awards at the International Business Awards (Stevies) - Executive of the Year Financial Services for UNB CEO (Gold Stevie Winner), Health, Safety & Environment Program of the Year in the Middle East and Africa (Gold Stevie Winner), Customer Service Team of the Year for Customer Care Unit (Silver Stevie Winner), Company of the Year, Financial Services (Bronze Stevie Winner), Product Development/Management Department or Team of the Year for Retail Products (Bronze Stevie Winner) and Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year in the Middle East and Africa (Bronze Stevie Winner)
