Sustainability at UNB can be summarized in four words:’The Bank that Cares’. This is more than just a tagline; it is a philosophy we implement internally and more importantly is a commitment to our stakeholders – to understand their needs and meet their expectations.
We believe that our Bank’s success and growth depends on our ability to create value for our stakeholders through our products and services, contribution to economic growth, socialdevelopment and a consideration for the environment. Therefore, we consistently apply our “We Care” approach, throughout our business operations, based on the systematic understanding and addressing of the issues that our stakeholders care about the most.
We have identified five stakeholder groups that we feel are most impacted by the Bank and have a major influence over the bank’s operations. These include our shareholders, customers, employees, society and business partners, and the environment. Our sustainability frame work and implementation of sustainability management principles is based on caring about these stakeholders.
