Our Story

We’re among the top banks in the United Arab Emirates. We offer our individual, corporate and SME customers banking and financial services through our extensive network of retail, corporate and SME offices and branches.

We’re also growing internationally, with branches in Qatar and Kuwait and having acquired a bank in Egypt. In 2008, we became the first UAE bank to establish a representative office in China.

Within our group are a number of diverse subsidiaries: Union Brokerage Company (UBC)- one of the oldest brokerage firms in the UAE, Al Wifaq Finance Company – a 100% sharia compliant finance company, Injaz Marketing and Management Company – Our Sales and Marketing subsidiary and Al Wifaq Properties Company – a Property Management company.

We’re rated strongly and consistently, as indicated by our independent ratings and recognitions. Our Foreign Currency Long Term and Foreign Currency Short Term ratings by leading rating agencies are:
